Two Kamloops developers have purchased 2.7 acres of industrial land from the City of Kamloops for $2.2 million.
According to minutes released with this week’s city council agenda, council agreed to sell its 1452 McGill Rd. property during a Dec. 17 in-camera meeting.
Coun. Pat Wallace did not vote because of a conflict of interest and councillors Tina Lange and Marg Spina were not present.
City development and engineering director Marvin Kwiatkowski said the purchasers are local developers Frank Quinn and Jeff Arnold, noting the pair has been interested in the property for several years.
The lot, which is zoned for an industrial park, was on the market for about 18 months.
It sits across the road from the Telus data centre.
Kwiatkowski said the pair has not indicated what their plans are for the property.
