Jake Kryski scored the shootout winner and lifted the Kamloops Blazers to a 3-2 victory over the hometown Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday, Oct. 3.
Kamloops (4-1-1) captain Matt Needham forced the extra frame with a goal at the 19:19 mark of the third period, in which Riley Sheen and Jamal Watson had already scored to put the home team out front 2-1.
Josh Connolly opened the scoring for the Blazers at 7:22 of the first period.
Bolton Pouliot made 27 saves and picked up his fourth victory of the season between the pipes for Kamloops, which is in action tonight (Oct. 4) against the hometown Medicine Hat Tigers.
The Blazers wrap the three-game Alberta road trip tomorrow night in Edmonton.
