In a nod to Christmas Cheers of years past, the first online donation to this year’s campaign came from former Kamloops Daily News publisher Tim Shoults.
Sure, Kamloops Daily News and KTW went head to head in the past but, when it comes to the annual citywide fundraiser, Shoults said his support is as strong as it was when the Daily News ran the campaign.
“It’s just such a great cause and I’ll continue to support it,” he said.
“I’m happy to contribute.”
KTW will be continuing the every-edition story tradition, as well, and will keep readers up to date on the fund’s tally.
Charities benefiting include the New Life Mission, the Y Women’s Emergency Shelter, the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice and the Sensational Soups meal program.
You can donate online at kamloopsthisweek.com or at the KTW office, 1365B Dalhousie Dr.
