The Kamloops Blazers lost their fourth consecutive game on Thursday, Dec. 11, dropping a 6-2 decision to the Red Deer Rebels.
The Blazers are 12-17-3-2, while the Rebels are 17-11-3-1.
Kamloops again fell behind early in this one, surrendering a goal 16 seconds into the game and a second as the game closed in on the 10-minute mark. Collin Shirley would get the Blazers on the board before the end of the first period — Logan McVeigh and Josh Connolly drew the assists — but Red Deer managed to add a third goal before the end of the period.
In the second frame, Cole Ully scored his 14th goal of the year to make it 3-2, a power-play marker from Michael Fora and Connolly, before the Rebels scored once in the second and twice in the third to take the game 6-2.
Cole Kehler was given the nod in goal, surrendering six goals on 27 shots.
Kamloops outshot Red Deer 32-27.
The Blazers continue their Central Division road swing with a Saturday, Dec. 13 game against the Calgary Hitmen (17-11-1-2).
