The Kamloops Ridge Runners held the River’s Spring Runoff 10-kilometre race in the Tournament Capital on Sunday, March 15.
Aaron Heidt of Vernon won the men’s division, finishing the race in a time of 33:46, while 13-year-old Chantal Jeffries of Blind Bay won the women’s side, with a time of 41:35.
Heidt was running in the 35- to 39-year-old category.
On the men’s side, Liam McGrath (37:51) finished first in the 16- to 19-year-old category, Cailan Libby (36:00) earned gold in the 20- to 29-year-old division, Greg Edgar (36:04) crossed the finish line first in the 30- to 34-year-old division, Randy Goncalves (38:43) placed first in the 40- to 44-year-old category, Wayne Little (38:49) earned gold in the 45- to 49-year-old division, Rick Brewster (36:50) won the 50- to 54-year-old division, Steve Briggeman (40:47) earned gold in the 55- to 59-year-old category, Roly Muller (41:03) won the 60- to 64-year-old division, Ken Riegel (50:45) earned first place in the 65- to 69-year-old category, Bill Faulkner (46:43) won the 70- to 74-year-old category and Bruce Butcher claimed gold in the 80- to 84-year-old category.
On the women’s side, Heather Vermey (59:41) won the 16- to 19-year-old division, Alesha Miller (41:57) placed first in the 20- to 29-year-old category, Chelsea Kaasa (43:06) was first in the 30- to 34-year-old division, Lisa Heidt (42:05) won the 35- to 39-year-old division, Marie-Josee Bedard (43:09) won the 40- to 44-year-old category, Marianne Butcher (49:45) won the 45- to 49-year-old group, Janice Bradshaw (51:36) earned first place in the 50- to 54-year-old class, Shirley Fisher (47:11) won the 55- to 59-heard-old division and Diane McKelvey (49:55) placed first in the 60- to 64-year-old category.
