The final two of 11,000 Y Dream Home tickets were sold on Tuesday at the downtown Kamloops YMC-YWCA, thereby ensuring the 2015 lottery is sold out six days before the scheduled final day of sales.
One lucky ticket will be drawn on Tuesday, July 7, with the name on that piece of paper handed the keys to the West Coast contemporary home in Juniper West that is valued at $600,000.
In addition to the Dream Home — built via a partnership between the Canadian Home Builders’ Association-Central Interior and Thompson Rivers University’s trades and technology department — there will be draws for 304 other prizes.
Secondary prizes include a new car and various cash amounts.
Every ticket is returned to the barrel for the next draw.
Picking the 305 winning tickets will be done by representatives of KPMG LLP beginning at 9 a.m. on July 7. Names of all winners will be published in a future edition of KTW.
Proceeds from the Y Dream Home Lottery go to fund Y programs.
