Jake Kryski and Nolan Kneen will have the opportunity impress Hockey Canada Brass this summer.
The Kamloops Blazers players will attend selection and development camps for Canada on the August long weekend.
Kryski, who notched 24 points, including 11 goals, in 65 games with the Blazers as a 16-year-old, will attend Hockey Canada’s under-18 selection camp. Of the 43 players invited to the camp, 22 will represent Canada at the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament from Aug. 10 to Aug. 15 in Breclav, Czech Republic and Piestany, Slovakia.
Kryski played for Canada Red at the under-17 World Hockey Challenge in November 2014, where he had five points, including a goal, in five games.
Kneen will attend Hockey Canada’s National under-17 Development Camp.
The 16-year-old defenceman played this past season for the Okanagan Rockets of the B.C. Major Midget Hockey League, recording 10 assists in 32 games. He also played five games for the Blazers as a 15-year-old, notching one assist.
Of the 111 players attending the development camp, 66 will be named to Canada’s three national teams at the 2015 World under-17 Hockey Challenge. The tournament will be played from Oct. 30 to Nov 7. The host city is yet to be determined.
