Re: Douglas Beck’s letter to the editor of Feb. 14 (‘Time to clean house during city budge time’):
His letter was accurate and to the point.
Unfortunately, city council is represented by special-interest groups mainly because local taxpayers will not get off their backsides and vote.
Hopefully in the next election, more people like Beck will come forward and we will see a council more representative of the people.
