The Storm’s leadership group wasn’t about to let them lose a second straight playoff game.

Alternate captain Luke Gordon scored a pair of goals for Kamloops, while captain Brock Balson added a third marker as the Storm defeated the Sicamous Eagles 3-1 at McArthur Island on Thursday, Feb. 27.

The Storm and the Eagles are now tied 1-1 in their first round KIJHL playoff matchup, with Game 3 going tonight (Friday) in Sicamous.

Forward Max James added a pair of assists in the victory, while goaltender Liam McLeod stopped 17 of 18 shots.

Curtis Witney scored the only goal for the Eagles, a power-play marker with 18 seconds remaining in the third period.

Game 4 is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 in Sicamous, with the teams returning to Kamloops on Monday March 3 for Game 5.
