Two people are dead following a head-on collision involving two semis early this morning (Jan. 31) that had the Trans-Canada Highway east of Kamloops closed for much of the day.
Chase RCMP Sgt. Gary Heebner said emergency crews were called to a collision one kilometre west of Chase at about 5:40 a.m.
“The driver and one passenger in the eastbound rig were killed, while the westbound driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Royal Inland Hospital,” he said.
The highway has now re-opened.
